Argentina’s Polo Low Season 2026

Argentina’s Polo Low Season Has Begun

Palo Alto Polo Club Is Ready to Welcome You

Argentina’s polo low season is officially underway, and at Palo Alto Polo Club we are fully prepared to welcome players and guests for the second half of the polo season.

The low season generally takes place during late summer and autumn (February to April) and throughout the winter months (May to September). This period offers a more relaxed, training-focused atmosphere, fewer crowds, and excellent playing conditions—making it an ideal time for development and enjoyment, while still featuring important competitions on the national calendar.

Low Season Overview

Late January – April (Autumn)
After the summer break, polo activity resumes with a calmer rhythm. Fields are in excellent condition, horses return refreshed, and players can focus on training and skill improvement. High-level tournaments such as the Copa República Argentina (March–April) and Polo Tour continue to offer top-quality competition.

May – September (Winter)
Winter months place a strong emphasis on horse conditioning and player training. While there are fewer major outdoor tournaments, training opportunities remain excellent, and activities like Arena Polo continue year-round.

High Season (Spring)

September – December
Spring marks Argentina’s peak polo season, featuring the world’s best players and teams. This period culminates in the prestigious Triple Crown tournaments: the Hurlingham Open, Tortugas Open, and Palermo Open.
